Daniel Sedin's Shaughnessy mansion put on the market

These days, it sounds like a bargain: only $5.9 million for a Shaughnessy "trophy home" that comes with five bedrooms, a hot tub spa, swirlpool, and security system.

The house on Nanton Avenue is reportedly owned by Canucks forward Daniel Sedin.

Real-estate agent Matt Pozer's listing includes plenty of interior photographs.

Does this mean Sedin is getting ready to join Kevin Bieksa, Zack Kassian, and Eddie Lack's exodus out of Vancouver?

Not likely. Sedin has three years left on his $7-million per year contract and last year, he had a remarkable comback. His 76 points put him first on the club and tied him for the eighth highest total in the league.

Does this mean that the Canucks are looking a rebuild? Are Daniel, Hank & Radim getting shipped out for picks?
We'll see if the Canucks are in contention in 6 months. Disappointing summer so far. Lost Eddie, Zack & Bieksa.

The brothers have contributed more to the local community than most athletes regardless of sport or city and they are solid top regular season hockey players. For these reasons, it would be very sad if they were to leave. But their disappearing act in playoffs demands bringing in more passion and grit on the top line...if the Cup is an objective.
