      FRIDAY, JULY 24

      BEACH BOY: Legendary American pop musician Brian Wilson (above), formerly of the Beach Boys, plays Richmond's River Rock Show Theatre.

      BLUERIDGE: chamber music by Schubert, Duruflé, Schumann, and composer-in-residence Jordan Nobles are featured in Kitsilano as part of the Blueridge Chamber Fest.

      BOLLYWOOD: outdoor screening of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (above) at Surrey's Unwin Park as part of Bollywood Under the Stars.

      B&D: party and play with local and international fetish performers, models, designers, artists, and photographers at Club 560.

      BATTLE: the B.C. Lions (above) battle it out with the Toronto Argonauts in Canadian Football League action at B.C. Place.

      SATURDAY, JULY 25

      SHOREFEST: free concert in conjuction with the Celebration of Lights fireworks show at English Bay features performances by Sadie Campbell, Tonye Aganaba, Bros Landreth, Ben Rogers, Harry Manx, Bend Sinister (above), and Platinum Blonde.

      SOCA MEETS SALSA: MEL'O Productions presents a Caribbean Days carnival dance at the Croatian Cultural Centre with music by Daddy Mikey, Latin DJ El-Nino, and DJ Grindhouse.

      SHANNON: Oakland-based garage punk trio Shannon and the Clams (above) plays the Biltmore Cabaret.

      SONGBOOK: the Zimmermen, Jim Byrnes, and Cory Hawthorne perform hits from the Bob Dylan Songbook at Edgewater Casino.

      SECONDS: Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer (above) plays Rogers Arena, with guests Hey Violet.

      SPECTACULAR: the fireworks team from China will light up the sky at the Honda Celebration of Light at English Bay.

      SUNDAY, JULY 25

      BLUES: Grammy-winning American blues artist Keb' Mo' (above) plays the Vogue Theatre.

      BOG: fundraising Jog for the Bog at Delta Nature Reserve features five- and 10-kilometre routes, performances, activities, and a pancake breakfast.

      BUDDY & BROWN: James "Buddy" Rogers and Harpdog Brown (above) perform at New West's Save On Foods 12 St. Music Festival, along with Arsen Shomakhov, Deanna Knight and the Hot Club of Mars, and Chuck Puchmayr and the Blue Express.

      BOOM: Kitty Nights West presents Things That Go Boom, a night of burlesque featuring Persephone Illyri, Audrey Hipturn (above), and Androsia Wilde.

      BARD: King Lear (above) is performed at Vanier Park as part of the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare festival.

      BREWERY & THE BEAST: Vancouver and Whistler chefs prepare unique dishes at Concord Pacific Place using both classic and modern techniques. Whole pig and lamb roasts, charcuterie, smoked meats, ethnic-inspired dishes, and classic BBQ will be showcased.
