The Deighton Cup isn't your typical day at the races.
A stylish crowd showed up today (July 25) for the seventh annual event at Hastings Racecourse in Vancouver.
Partial proceeds benefited Variety - The Children’s Charity.

it seems pretty typical -- animals are beaten and whipped into a frenzy and forced to run in a circle by wealthy owners in front of far too few attendees to cover any actual costs. The ones that don't do well are sent to the glue factory and/or sliced into sandwiches. The ones that do spent the rest of their life surfing horseporn.com and getting handjobs until they stop producing sperm.
Nice hats though.
