John Oliver tells Ottawa city council to fight back against Ashley Madison

HBO's John Oliver has gone to the airwaves against a Canadian website that encourages married people to have affairs.

In response to news that Ashley Madison has its highest capita membership in Ottawa, Oliver called on council to take action.

He played a video with this message:

"We get it. Ottawa is a depressing, frigid shithole and always has been. But having an affair is downright un-Canadian."
