Eddie Lack prepares for NHL debut against Calgary Flames
Vancouver Canucks backup goalie Eddie Lack often sends messages over Twitter.
Today, however, his account is silent as he prepares for his first NHL game in Calgary against Flames.
Maybe this has something to do with Coach John Tortorella's preseason admonition against getting too friendly on the social-media outlet.
But an enthusiastic Lack has expressed himself on Canucks TV.
"I'm very excited right now," he said. "I feel like I've been working for this a long time."
The Canucks are coming off a convincing 6-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in their home opener last night.
Six different players scored and captain Henrik Sedin posted three assists.
Roberto Luongo did his job in the nets, stopping 21 of 23 shots, helping Tortorella post his first victory as coach of the Canucks.
It's not a surprise that Lack would get the start tonight, given it's the team's third game in four nights in three different cities.
