      Vancouver’s Kokoro Dance presents Life at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews) from Wednesday to Saturday (October 9 to 12).

      Life is a major new work choreographed by Barbara Bourget and Jay Hirabayashi. The piece features seven dancers: Bourget, Hirabayashi, Carolyn Chan, Molly McDermott, Jennifer McKinley, Billy Marchenski, and Deanna Peters.

      The dancers move through a stunning set by fibre artist Kai Chan, with original music by Lee Pui Ming. Costumes are by Tsuneko Kokubo and lighting designed by Gerald King. Life celebrates Kokoro Dance’s 28th season.

      Tickets to Life are $25 to $32 and can be purchased online in advance or by calling Kokoro Dance’s box office at 604-662-4966.
