      With temperatures routinely reaching into the 30's there's no better time to take a dip in one of the city's refreshing outdoor pools. So grab your swimsuit, sunglasses, and sunscreen and dive in.

      Kitsilano Pool

      Located at Kitsilano beach this is Vancouver's only heated saltwater swimming pool. At 137 metres, it is one of the largest pools in the city. Features three slides, a cafe, and plenty of lounging areas with a great view of the mountains.

      Second Beach Pool

      Stanley Park's Second Beach pool features a cafe, slide, and a separated area for swimming laps. This 80-metre pool is heated and has a gradual sloped entry.

      New Brighton Pool

      This pool is located very close to the PNE and Hastings Racecourse in New Brighton Park on Vancouver's east side. It has a small cafe and a slide for children. A modest 55 metres in length, it also has a 25-metre area for swimming lengths.

      Hillcrest Centre Pool

      Located near Queen Elizabeth Park Hillcrest Aquatic Centre features both an indoor and outdoor pool. It has diving boards, a slide, sauna, and steam room. Lengths are 50 meters and 25 meters for laps. The pool has sprays and water toys are available for the kids.

      Maple Grove Pool

      On Vancouver's south side near South West Marine Drive is the Maple Grove Pool. At a maximum 3.5-feet deep, this pool is made for leisurely wading. It features a water basketball hoop, grassy area for sunbathing, and a small island in the centre.
