The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Artists in the Atrium final weekend

Vancouver Moving Theatre presents the final weekend for Artists in the Atrium: Aboriginal Showcase and Art Market. The event takes place at the Woodward’s Atrium (Hastings and Abbott) on Friday to Sunday (October 11 to 13) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The final weekend will feature free performances each day from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. featuring some of Vancouver’s finest aboriginal artists, such as blue queen Dalannah Gail Bowen, the Git Hayetsk Dancers, and a closing ceremony with singer-songwriter Wayne Lavallee and elders from Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

Attendees can also start their seasonal shopping with handmade original arts and crafts by local aboriginal artists. Find cedar-bark weavings, drums, carvings, paintings, and jewellery.

This is a free, family-friendly event.
