A kiss is a beautiful thing.

But apparently not to the Russian government, if the parties involved are of the same sex.

While a kiss-in protest was previously held on August 2 in Vancouver to protest Russia's antigay legislation, another one is being held today (October 11). This time, it's on National Coming Out Day.

This latest protest will be held again at the Russian Consulate (212–475 Howe Street) from 6 to 7 p.m.

It's being held in conjunction with protests at Russian Consulates all around the world for a Global Kiss-In Protest. For more information, visit this Facebook event page. (And you don't have to be LGBT to participate.)

Russian LGBT activists and allies previously expressed their thanks to the world for standing up for LGBT rights with a photo campaign displaying messages of thanks with signs in various languages.
