Yesterday, I headed out to Burnaby for the annual Korean Cultural Heritage Festival.

I was looking forward to the demonstration South Korean Kukkiwon tae kwon do artists because I missed their show at last year's event.

For those unfamiliar with tae kwon do, Kukkiwon is the world capital of the sport where all black belts are awarded.

They were all black belts performing at this year's festival at Swangard Stadium. And they thrilled the crowd with a sensational performance.

Check out the videos below to catch a glimpse of how they combine power, speed, and grace.

Kukkiwon artists left a lot of wood on the mat.
This is high-level tae kwon do!

The festival also featured a performance by a jultagi artist.

Plus, there was Korean food, Korean artistry, and plenty of politicians on-site who wanted to show their concern for the Korean community.

Below, you can see some snapshots I took when I was there for the first couple of hours.

A federal Liberal display featured pictures of former prime ministers.

K-Pop was also part of the festival.
