Halloween Video Countdown Day 19: Siouxsie and the Banshees

Every day until Halloween we'll be posting music videos that are creepy, kooky, and altogether ooky.

You know what's really creepy? Children. More specifically, the way they can sometimes have absolute faith in supernatural occurrences, like their toys coming to life at night after they go to sleep, or ephemeral creatures that only appear in the dark and disappear as soon as the lights come on. It's only natural, though. Before they reach the so-called age of reason, kids will readily accept thoroughly irrational explanations of how the world works.

Imagine if adults were like that. Why, if grownups believed in beings that aren't there and used that belief as the basis for some all-encompassing philosophy, this world would be a messed-up place. Thank God we all grow out of that stuff, huh?

BONUS TREAT! Okay, we are now close enough to the actual event to start posting stuff that is specifically about Halloween. Needless to say Siouxsie and company have that covered:

Siouxsie would never make it today -- she can't dance and she dressed modestly.

But EVERYONE knows you can't be a famous female artist unless you are always interpreting innovation, rebellion and individualism as challenging society's sexual stereotypes about women! Especially the ones about clothes!
