Bill Good comes out of retirement to air his opinions on News 1130

If you pay attention to current affairs and often say to yourself, "I wonder what Bill Good thinks of that," well, you won't have to wonder much longer.

The veteran broadcaster with CKNW, CTV Vancouver, BCTV, and CBC couldn't stay retired for long.

Starting this fall, the familiar voice of the former host of CKNW's The Bill Good Show will be heard on the News 1130 radio station.

His segment will be called A Minute with Bill Good.

"A Minute with Bill Good is a no-holds-barred editorial commentary, focusing on current hot button issues, the inner workings of BC politics, and the influential movers and shakers who make the decisions that affect you — the public," a post on the News 1130 website states.

If you can't wait to listen to the first A Minute with Bill Good, mark September 8 on your calendar.

I think we get quite enough Bill Good on those almost comically dreadful commercials for some second mortgage outfit. Please, Bill, retire gracefully

I assume his rants will be included in the Conservative advertising budget. But as long as he is limited to just one minute a day we can avoid listening.

Is Vancouver's media so bereft of talent that they need to go back to the same, tired, sloppy trough again and again?

What's next? Trotting out Christy's primo fart-catcher Pamela Martin again??

I think there is ample talent here to bring fresh perspectives but alas, no such luck as we have the laziest media in Canada.

As dull as NW only 15 years behind the times.

I am so happy to hear that Bill Good is coming out of retirement. Had wondered for a while now what he has been doing and been Googling if he is on any talk show.

He has always been my favourite radio personality and I was heart -broken when he left CKNW. I wish he will have his own show again because I have always valued his idea and opinion. He has been fair and always a gentleman.

Good luck Bill and can't wait to tune in to 1130 even more on September 8th.
