A popular Vancouver clothing boutique is closing its Yaletown brick-and-mortar shop at the end of October. Jennyfleur Loves… (110 – 1058 Mainland Street) announced recently that after three years in the same location, it was not renewing its lease.

“This doesn't mean that we are going away. We are not closing our doors, but for now at least, we are changing the way we do business,” a post on the clothing retailer’s Facebook page states. “At this moment, we have been seeking but have not found another location that we feel is suitable for our boutique, but we will be maintaining our online presence.”

Co-owners and mother-and-daughter team Jennifer Gray and Shaughnessy Chow-Domos stated that with an online shop and mobile boutique, they plan to stay active in Vancouver’s fashion scene.

“Our contact info will still be the same - phone and email, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so please feel free to contact us at any time,” the post continues. “We don't want to say goodbye to any of you, we only hope that we can still have a little spot in your wardrobe.”

To celebrate the Yaletown location, Jennyfleur Loves… is hosting a shopping party on Thursday (October 24) from 5 to 9 p.m. Attendees can enjoy drinks with the shopkeepers and take advantage of in-store specials.
