3:01 Pick Me Up: Dead Weather

    1 of 2 2 of 2

Let’s face it: 3 p.m. is the cruellest time of the workday. The morning latte has worn off, and the post-lunch crash has you staggering around like an extra from a George A. Romero flick. That’s why, each weekday at 3:01 p.m., we present you with a video hand-picked to kick-start your heart.

Today’s offering: The good news is that there's a new Dead Weather album on the way, with Dodge and Burn hitting finer record stores this September.

The bad news is that the supergroup, which features Alison Mosshart (the Kills) on vocals and some fella named Jack White on the drums, won't be touring for its third full-length.

That bad news is that means you won't see White and Mosshart antique shopping on Terminal Avenue, something they did their last time in Vancouver.

The good news is that Dodge and Burn's first single, "I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)" suggests that the Dead Weather has discovered a new appreciation for hooks. The bad news is that Jack White is nowhere to be seen in the video.

The good news--unless you happen to be a cow--is that Alison Mosshart is wearing leather pants.

The bad news is that it doesn't end well. Unless your idea of a good time is lying on the pavement in the middle of a windstorm. Which is only good news if the Dead Weather is responsible for the hurricane.
