The Squamish Valley Music Festival may be long over, but its creative director has just released a sizzle reel of all the visual art that went on for the event.

That's right: the creative explosion at the fest went far beyond the music on-stage.

For the inaugural year of SVMF's visual-arts program, organizers at brand.LIVE and Live Nation teamed up with local artist-curator Drew Young to produce a site-wide program. Young is an in-demand painter who's curator for TEDxVancouver and Snag, a weekly live-painting exhibit.

The result was installations by more than 40 local and international artists, including massive sculptural works at the main gates, a huge rendition of this year’s Poly Bear mascot, an the Art Pavilion—a three-tiered arts hub, wrapped in 20 live-painted murals, that provided attendees with a constantly evolving arts experience and incredible vantage points for performances. It also housed one of the world’s largest mechanized kaleidoscopes and was illuminated at night with a light-laser display and a psychedelic interactive animation wall.

It also looks like one hell of a lot of work by a huge team of artists.

Check out the highlights, in case you missed the fest, or in case you were too busy rocking out to A$AP Rocky at the Tantalus Stage, tripping out at the EDM stage, or binge-drinking in your unicorn costume.
