North Vancouver RCMP issues warning after attempted abduction

      North Vancouver RCMP is issuing a warning after a 16 year-old girl was nearly abducted from Capilano Mall and is seeking the public’s help in finding two suspects.

      The incident happened on August 6 around 1:45 p.m.

      The teen was approached by a man who told her she was beautiful. He then pulled her by the hand toward a waiting car. Another man was in the driver’s seat.

      The girl managed to get away before being pulled into the vehicle.

      The suspect who tried to grab the teenager is described as black, about 40 years old, bulky with large shoulders, over six feet tall, and wearing all dark clothing.

      The car is described as a 1990s black sedan, similar to a Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla.
