Part of the proceeds from the first Monogram® Dinner by Design in 2013 benefited the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

This year, the beneficiaries will be the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research and Emily Carr University of Art + Design, which is raising money for its new campus on False Creek Flats.

The third annual event features 15 interior designers who will create tablescapes for a cocktail party on September 20 and for a multicourse dinner for 150 people on September 21.

This combination of fine design and fine dining takes place at Studio 40 in the CBC building at 700 Hamilton Street. (For information about tickets, visit the website.)

It's presented by GE Monogram and The Social Concierge with Interior Design Show West, which takes place in Vancouver from September 24 to 27.

Some of the designers preparing tablescapes include Karla Amadatsu, Stephanie Brown, and Sean Pearson.

There will also be a viewing of the tablescapes on September 22 from noon to 5 p.m.

There's a $20 suggested donation with all proceeds going to CANFAR and Emily Carr University.
