The Vancouver International Film Festival released its full lineup of films yesterday, but delegates will have more than just movies to entertain them this year. They'll also be treated to an intimate, by-invitation-only concert by established and up-and-coming Canadian acts.

The concert, which bears the title Festival Music House Pacific, will take place on October 2 at the Imperial. Performers include synth-pop duo Dear Rouge, folk/soul singer-songwriter Frazey Ford, hip-hop/folk artist Ria Mae, and producer-songwriter David Vertesi of Hey Ocean!.

The Festival Music House series was created in 2010 and launched during the Toronto International Film Festival. Its mandate is to provide a platform for Canadian musicians to showcase their talents for decision-makers in the film and TV industries. Previous concerts have featured performance by Gord Downie, K'NAAN, the Sam Roberts Band, City & Colour, Dan Mangan, Kathleen Edwards, the Sheepdogs, and others.

Dear Rouge is the husband-and-wife duo of Drew and Danielle McTaggart. The Straight's Amanda Siebert interviewed the pair for My Favourite Thing back in April.
