Kanye West cancels twice-postponed Vancouver concert
Are there any Kanye West fans left in Vancouver? It seems unlikely after the rapper bailed on a scheduled October 20 concert at Rogers Arena, and then flaked out again when the rescheduled Yeezus tour performance was supposed to proceed on Halloween.
The latest word from the West camp is that Yeezus won't be coming to Vancouver at all. A statement posted on the self-proclaimed genius's website reads, in all caps: "THE YEEZUS TOUR WILL RESUME ITS SCHEDULED ROUTING ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH AT THE WELLS FARGO CENTER IN PHILADELPHIA, PA. THE CHICAGO, TORONTO, AND DETROIT DATES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED....DUE TO ROUTING LOGISTICS, THE VANCOUVER, DENVER, COLUMBUS, MONTREAL, MINNEAPOLIS AND ST. LOUIS SHOWS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED."
And that's it. No apology. No acknowledgement that fans might be disappointed by this news. Just a blunt statement of the facts. Because being Kanye West apparently means never having to say you're sorry. Because nothing's ever his fault, you see. Sure, he might have spent the evening of October 20 proposing to his girlfriend at a major-league ballpark in San Francisco that he had rented out (presumably well in advance) for the occasion, which also happened to be her birthday. But that's not why he wasn't playing his scheduled Vancouver concert that night. No, that was because of...well, no one is entirely sure why. Something to do with the border, maybe.
As for the October 31 no-show, the official word on that was that one of the vehicles hauling the equipment for the Yeezus tour was involved in a traffic accident. And now? ROUTING LOGISTICS. (Ticketholders will no doubt be delighted to know that refunds are available at point of purchase.)
Stay tuned for the inevitable announcement that THE ENTIRETY OF THE YEEZUS TOUR HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Just don't expect an apology. Because that's not how Kanye West rolls.

I wonder if the Anaheim show -- originally scheduled for November 1 -- which now is on Dec 13 will be cancelled?
To recap:
He cancelled his Oct 20 in Vancouver and then re-scheduled Vancouver for October 31, KNOWING, he had a scheduled show in Anaheim the next day?
I am sure he HAD every intention of playing Vancouver on his GF birthday? and then he had every intention of using magic fairies powered by unicorn farts to transport his elaborate stage (both?) down to Southern California the next day and it wasn't some scam to collect the interest on a few million.
Lucky he had an accident, eh?

I feel sorry for the promoter, paying the rent on the space and the labour to build and strike the setup. Bet you Yeezus walked away with a guarantee too.

Does he have a criminal record or anything that would mean he cannot cross the border and he won't fess up? I don't know that much about him to know if he has played elsewhere in Canada recently or if he's an ex-con or anything. Would like to know.

Postponing his concerts is acceptable but to cancell entirely is disrespectful towards his fans it shows he is unprofessional as a musician and should get his life together before going on tour or not list those dates in the first place
