Vancouver New Music, in partnership with Redshift Music, presents Chambercon on Sunday (November 17) from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Orpheum Annex (823 Seymour Street).

The four-hour music extravaganza features premieres of works by Canadian composers, including John Burke, Justin Christensen, Wolf Edwards, Ava Grayson, John Korsrud, Colin MacDonald, Giorgio Magnanensi, and Rita Ueda.

Chambercon will feature performances by five of Vancouver’s top new music ensembles. This year’s participants include Duo Verdejo, Cordei, Ethos Collective, NOVO Ensemble, and Vancouver Electronic Ensemble. For the finale, all five groups will join forces to perform two new Redshift Music commissions by John Korsrud and Rita Ueda.

Tickets to Chambercon are $25 and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone at 1-800-838-3006.
