"Harperesque" Justin Trudeau does "Hip Flip" with Nardwuar in Vancouver

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau faced perhaps his toughest questions so far on the campaign trail today (September 10) in Vancouver.

Outside the offices of the City of Vancouver's engineering services department, the son of Pierre Trudeau looked over to see Nardwuar the Human Serviette standing at the mic.

After the politician made a promise to quadruple federal transit funding, the quirky celebrity interviewer asked Trudeau 2.0 a littany of queries about Trudeau-related music recordings, such as "Go Go Trudeau" by the Sinners.

"I prefer 'Go Go Harper'," Trudeau quipped in response.

Eventually, Nardwuar asked Trudeau to do the "Hip Flip" game with him.

"Paul Martin did the Hip Flip game," Nardwuar recalled as reporters and Liberal candidates looked on. "Jean Chretien did the Hip Flip game. Jack Layton did the Hip Flip game. Michael Ignatieff did the Hip Flip game. Stephen Harper did not do the Hip Flip game. I was carried away by his security as I tried to approach him. Would you, Justin Trudeau, in this election of 2015, do the Hip Flip game with me, Nardwuar the Human Serviette?"

"I look forward to doing it after I take the more serious questions from everyone else," Trudeau replied. "Thank you very much. Not right now, sir. Thank you, thank you. No, we'll do it right afterwards."

However, when journalists tried to follow Trudeau inside after the press conference to watch the Hip Flip, security blocked our way.

So, in a move another journalist called "Harperesque", the Liberal leader did the Hip Flip with Nardwuar away from most of the cameras.
