The Georgia Straight presents Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings at the Commodore

      Live Nation has announced that American funk/soul group Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will play a show at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, April 5, 2014, in support of its upcoming album, Give the People What They Want.

      This past spring, Sharon Jones was diagnosed with cancer. Now, after a successful operation and ongoing treatment program, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings is back and bringing its brand of unbridled soul to the masses.

      Give the People What They Want is set for a January release.

      Tickets for the 19+ show are priced at $35 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (November 15) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website. 

      Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000, at Red Cat and Highlife Records, and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
