Doug and Rob Ford launch TV show on Sun News Network

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the spectacle I've been referring to as Canada's second-greatest reality TV show is actually headed to the small screen.

Rob and Doug Ford will have their own show on the Sun News Network beginning November 18.

Ford Nation is ostensibly a continuation of the brothers' recently cancelled radio show, The City, which aired Sundays on Newstalk 1010.

The pair used their radio show to engage directly with voters and, in Rob's case, talk about all the drinking he does.

After The City was unceremoniously  dumped from the station last week, Sun News Network approached the pair about a weekly show, which will likely feature Rob Ford further humiliating himself and Toronto.

The show will air Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.

Sigh. Here's Stephen Colbert's take from last night on the most recent developments in the Ford saga.

Sun News is sick propaganda. don't bother reporting on this stuff, you only advertise it for them. Ignore it and hopefully it will go away. Ford is finished and so is Harper, just give em enough rope.

I guess we all have different tolerances for what represents "enough".

Yesterday, I thought it was when Rob Ford told his two young children - via news cameras - that he regularly performs oral sex on their mother. I wondered how that revelation would play at school the next day, and how much the therapy would cost in the years ahead.

Oral sex on their ... MOTHER?!?! Are you out of your freaking MIND!?!! The idea of "parental intercourse" is hard enough for kids to accept, but ... but ... doing THAT?! To their MOTHER!?!!?! Puke City, Oklahoma.

But, I think he went yet another step farther today. He actually said, in a televised council meeting, that he would have no tolerance for a mayor like himself. He actually said (actually!) that he would join other councillors in sanctioning a mayor who had behaved as poorly as he has.

But, he wouldn't endorse such sanctions if they were being applied against him. In fact, he said that he would have to fight these sanctions in court. Fine for another mayor, but not me!

He didn't provide the slightest hint of rationale for such an obvious, mind-numbing, shithouse crazy, stupid, steaming pile of hypocrisy.

Ahem. Rob Ford is mentally ill. Forget the booze, forget the drugs. He's nuts. He cannot think rationally or coherently. Doug Ford is also nuts, because he can't see that his brother is nuts. Their mother is also nuts, because she thinks Rob is fat, but not crazy.

And that's why, when the votes came down in council today (I watched online), it was 40-2 in almost every instance. Two nut jobs, versus everybody else.

They should be Tazered, placed in cuffs, and sent somewhere for evaluation.

Amazing how the Ford circus has bumped the Senate scandal right off the msm radar. Sun News Network is just talking, there won't ever be a Ford brothers t.v. show.

Yes maybe all those offensive remarks and behavior was a prelude for high ratings on TV show?

Bill Clinton put a cigar up Monica's hoo-haw.
Bill Clinton came all over Monica's dress.
      Bill Clinton committed perjury.

Daughter Chelsea found out about this at, what, age 15? She's doing fine despite hearing what her dad was up to and into. Bill is revered to this day. Something wrong with this picture.

Give Rob a break, Doug says he is on a diet, working out and going crazy. Results he will gain 50 lbs, still look as fat as ever and won't be to speak a sentence without slurring his words

Has the Sun News Network misplaced its moral compass. Why would you give these bozoos a platform. On your network you often discuss bullying and what can be done about it. These two are the epitome of bullies. They rule by intimidation. I expected more from Sun News.

      I'm sorry, that last sentence...
      I can't go on...
