Judging by this crop of events, someone over at the Rio Theatre (1660 E. Broadway) decided to rename this month Nerdvember.

Tomorrow (November 20) local comedy group the Fictionals presents the special one-year-anniversary edition of Improv Against Humanity, a comedy show based on the hit game Cards Against Humanity, in which players compete to see who can come up with the most outrageous, politically incorrect response to a previously selected question.

November 22 and 23 will see the Geekenders and their burlesque show Star Wars: A Nude Hope take the stage with a sexy, two-act reboot of the classic sci-fi film. Participating burlesque artists include Draco Muff-Boi, Sherry Hymen, Trixie Hobbitses, Stephen Blakley, Anita Johnson, Nathan Fillyouin, Graeme Thompson, Experiment 5318008, Chai Tea, Riannaconda, Vanilla Vice, Patrice Bowler, Rainbowglitz Baker, Ginger Femmecat, Purple Rain, Lace Cadet, Flash LeFox, Donna Jazz, Dezi Desire, Whatshername, Lucy Fair, and Lyssa Strata.

Wrapping up the month is November 27th's Critical Hit Show, a live, improvised night of comedy built around a typical Dungeons & Dragons campaign. This month's iteration features local comedians Eric Fell (the dungeon master), Ian Boothby (a half-elf cleric), Joanna Gaskell (an elf barbarian), Allen Morrison (a human wizard), and Shaun Stewart (a dwarf bard).
