Secret Sundays coming to Mission in Kitsilano

      If you're one of those who needs a drink to get ready for the next work week, Kitsilano's Mission has the solution.

      Chef Curtis Luk is known for using all parts of an animal or produce, reinforcing the neighbourhood's reputation for advancing sustainability.

      But the restaurant in the 2000 block of West 4th Avenue also promotes a thriving wine and cocktail culture.

      Every Sunday from 9 p.m. to closing time it will hold a Late Night Happy Hour featuring $5 wines and beers.

      Customers will pay $6 for classic cocktails created by lead bartender Justin Darnes, formerly of London's Savoy Hotel, and Marc Smolenski, formerly of Wild Rice and CinCin.

      Darnes is behind the Twitter feed @DrinksUndressed, which promotes the web series of the same name. You can see one of the episodes below.
