From September 29 to October 10, Western Canada Theatre presents Are We Cool Now? at the Cultch (1895 Venables).

Created by Amiel Gladstone (A Craigslist Cantata, Cinderella: An East Van Panto!), Are We Cool Now? uses the music of Vancouver indie-rock musician Dan Mangan to explore contemporary relationships.

In the musical, a couple (played by actor-musicians Penelope Corrin and Ben Elliott) sets out on a road trip, which causes them to reflect on their place in the world and with each other.

Anton Lipovetsky will be on guitar and bass, while Said the Whale's Spencer Schoenig will be on percussion. Music and lyrics, including one new song, are by Mangan.

Tickets for Are We Cool Now? start at $20 and are available online in advance.
