I'm still, I'm still Justin from the block
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau wants B.C. voters to know that he can hike the Grouse Grind in less than an hour.
His latest Grind time is featured in a campaign ad aimed at folks on the Left Coast.
Here's a transcript of the ad, supplied by the Liberal party:
I’ve always believed that from this place you can see the future of Canada. I have deep roots here, worked here. More than anywhere else, people here know our environment and economy are one. My plan will invest in the future BCers see so clearly: in jobs, in transit, affordable housing, and lowering taxes for our middle class. A Prime Minister that doesn’t just talk BC, but has it in the blood. That’s real change.
The ad serves as a reminder that Trudeau 2.0 lived in Vancouver for a time. (He's also lived in Ottawa and Montreal.)
It's basically his version of Jennifer Lopez's hit song "Jenny From the Block":
Don't be fooled by the ads that I got
I'm still, I'm still Justin from the block
Used to have a little, now I have a lot
No matter where I go
I know where I came from
Election day is October 19, 2015.
