Style Bits: Freebies, fashion, and food on West 4th Avenue

      On Thursday (September 24) at 5 p.m., West 4th Avenue kicks off its Fall Fashion event with style!

      Live models, food, cocktails, and music are the recipe for success in Kitsilano this week, as the Official Shopping & Dining Neighbourhood of Vancouver Fashion Week, West 4th Avenue, celebrates autumn fashion with an evening event on the strip.

      Apparel and dining merchants will be engaging the shop crawlers throughout the night with sales, giveaways, fashion shows, and special offers ranging from complimentary express manicures to free drinks and food along the way.

      The action starts early 

      Guests check in at Simpatico Restaurant (2222 West 4th) starting at 5 p.m. and all the festivities of the event commence, including wine, appetizers, and music by Canadian sensation Rosemary Siemens.

      Amid the fall fashion celebrations, shoppers receive a VIP card with a list of participating retailers and restaurateurs that have offers for the evening. With over 30 merchants participating there will be much to do and choose from.

      She who shops gets gifted 

      At 9 p.m., at the end of the shop-crawl, the first 200 attendees to return to Simpatico and show proof of purchase will receive more freebies, offers, and goodies from the merchants all bundled up in a fabulous West 4th Avenue tote bag!

      MIDDLE SISTER has some sweet offerings for the evening. Think free gifts with purchases: wine, sweets, and prizes.
      New store alert: REIGNING CHAMP will offer 15 percent off all evening.
      Fall layers by FAB CLOTHING, which will offer wine, snacks, and 20 percent off.
      A FASHION SHOW will be held at 7 p.m. at COCO'S CLOSET.
