The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Romeo + Juliet

From October 1-18, Studio 58 presents William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet at Studio 58 (Langara, 100 W. 49th).

The local theatre company sees its 50th anniversary production of Shakespeare's classic tragedy set in 1965 during one of Andy Warhol's famous Factory parties.

Directed by Anita Rochon, Romeo + Juliet will see hipsters, artists, and socialites get up close and personal with the star-crossed lovers and their entourages.

This production features choreography by local dance artist Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg, with fight choreography by David Bloom.

Tickets for Romeo + Juliet start at $12.25 and can be bought online in advance.
