Bah! Humbug! returns for a fourth year with Juno Award-winning musician Jim Byrnes as Ebenezer Scrooge. The seasonal benefit for community arts in the Downtown Eastside runs from December 12 to 14 at SFU’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

Bah! Humbug! is a twist on the classic Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, as Scrooge own a pawn shop on Hastings Street. This all-ages show highlights the parallels between the economic disparities of Victorian-era London and Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Along with Byrnes, the Max Reimer-directed production features First Nations actor Margo Kane, gospel and blues singer Tom Pickett, and actor Steve Maddock.

Tickets to Bah! Humbug! are $25 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the door an hour before showtime.
