The Georgia Straight presents St. Vincent at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist St. Vincent will perform at the Commodore Ballroom on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in support of her upcoming album, St. Vincent.

 St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, has been recording and touring constantly since the release of her critically-acclaimed third album, Strange Mercy, and her collaborative album with David Byrne, Love This Giant.

"I finished the Strange Mercy tour in Japan and went directly into Love This Giant rehearsals and the subsequent North American tour," explains Clark. 

"I wanted the groove to be paramount," Clark says of her upcoming album. "I wanted to make a party record you could play at a funeral.” 

 St. Vincent is set for a February 25 release.

Tickets for the 19+ show are priced at $27.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (December 13) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.
