Gonin Saga star Higashide Masahiro at Vancouver International Film Festival

While the crowds didn't reach the levels of insanity witnessed last year the world premiere of the Vancouver Asahi, sparked by the appearance of its J-Pop stars, there was quite a turnout of Japanese fans for the screening of Gonin Saga on September 30.
Why, you ask?
The answer: Japanese heartthrob Higashide Masahiro.
Higashide stars as Hayato Hisamatsu in this latest installation of the Gonin film series, directed by Ishii Takashi.
Higashide, who towers over everyone at 6-2, married internationally renowned star Ken Watanabe's daughter Anne in January.
He walked the red carpet with Ishii and participated in a Q&A session at the screening at International Village.
