On October 17, 7:30 pm, the Vancouver Cantata Singers present Angeli Archangeli | Songs of Angels at the Ryerson United Church (2195 W. 45th).

The local choir will open its 2015-2016 season with a concert celebrating the enduring influence of angels, which have been associated with music throughout history.

Artistic director and conductor Paula Kremer will lead the Vancouver Cantata Singers in a performance of Heinrich Isaac's Angeli Archangeli and John Taverner's Angel, as well as works by Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Britten, Tippett, and Piazzolla.

Tickets for Angeli Archangeli | Songs of Angels range from $10 to $30 and are available online in advance.
