Homeless in Vancouver: Well, that about covers this Broadway tunnel soil test

Looks like I was wrong—again. Before 3 p.m. on Sunday (October 11), a Foundex drilling crew had completely wrapped up the subway tunnel-related soil testing they began in the 1400 block of West Broadway two days earlier.

On Saturday, I wrote how I thought that the crew might be on the scene through the Thanksgiving Monday but they have completely cleared out—equipment and all.

The triangle isn't pointing at anything unless you're a conspiracy theorist.

The only evidence to mark that the drilling ever happened is a steel plug bearing the equilateral “Triangleon” of an internationally-recognized monitoring well cover.

My camera puts the cover at the GPS coordinates: 49.26382000, -123.13810167, which is about 28 metres south of its actual location (so handy that GPS function—pfft!).
