You can leave those FareSaver tickets at home (or spend all your change on Jell-O shots) on New Year’s Eve.

Public transit is free across Metro Vancouver from 5 p.m. on December 31 to 5 a.m. on January 1.

TransLink buses, SkyTrain, and SeaBus will follow their usual weekday schedules with some adjustments to extend service for partygoers.

For a run-down of additional late-night bus trips, see TransLink's 2013 New Year’s Eve Service Schedules sheet.

SkyTrain riders will get an extra hour of service. The last Expo Line train to King George will depart Waterfront at 2:16 a.m. On the Canada Line, the last trains will leave Waterfront at 2:05 a.m. (to YVR-Airport) and 2:15 a.m. (to Richmond-Brighouse).

The SeaBus will also run an hour later than usual, with the last sailings from Lonsdale Quay at 2 a.m. and Waterfront at 2:20 a.m.

For more holiday service information, see the TransLink website.
