Vancouver Canucks coach John Tortorella says he knows "not a thing" about goalie Joacim Eriksson.

Eriksson was brought up from Canucks Utica Comets farm team to replace an injured Roberto Luongo.

Tortorella made the revelation about Erikkson at yesterday's news conference, when he called Luongo's injury "day-to-day".

Luongo left the last game against Winnipeg late in the first period for undisclosed reasons.

The coach also declared that Eddie Lack will be between the pipes tomorrow night in Calgary against the Flames.

"It is what it is. This is what happens when you have an injury," Tortorella said. "As I said prior, we have total confidence in his play. So he steps in. Again like I said, I'm not sure what's going to happen with Roberto."

Lack, who has a 1.93 goals-against average, has "played very well", according to Tortorella.

"He's given us flexibility in certain situations and picked up points for us, which is very important for us in the first half of the year."

Tortorella also said that the team needed its week off, which came following its 2-1 victory over the Jets on December 22.

Lack told reporters that he's focused on thinking about what he can do to become a better goalie in the future.

"When I'm outside the rink, I'm kind of a goofy guy, but once I get in there, I'm just focused and trying to do my best to help my teammates," the rookie goalie said.
