Landscape architect Cornelia Hahn Oberlander honoured by national interior design associations

Canadian landscape architect Cornelia Hahn Oberlander is the recipient of the 2014 Interior Designers of Canada/International Interior Design Association Leadership Award of Excellence for her contributions to the design profession.

The Vancouver-based designer is known for her leadership in green architectural designs and solutions, and has collaborated with architects like Arthur Erickson, Moshe Safdie, and Renzo Piano.

In 2013, Oberlander was the winner of the Mayor's ArtsLifetime Achievement Award from the City of Vancouver. She has also received honours from groups such as the International Federation of Landscape Architects and the American Society of Landscape Architects, and is an honorary membership to the Architectural Institute of British Columbia.

The award will be presented during an event on February 20 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Christopher Gaze, director and founder of the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival, will present the keynote address.
