Vancouver concert alert: ticket on-sales Friday include Hedley and Ellie Goulding

      Fridays are big days for Vancouver music fans.

      That's when tickets generally go on sale to the general public for the major concerts that been announced in the last week or so.

      Here's the latest roundup of shows, all of which become available for purchase on Friday starting at 10 am.

      Hedley: the Canadian pop-rock sensations play Rogers Arena on May 20, with guests Carly Rae Jepsen and Francesco Yates.

      Elle Goulding: the British pop superstar plays Rogers Arena on April 1, performing on her Delirium World Tour.

      Matt Anderson: the Canadian blues guitarist-vocalist plays the Vogue Theatre on February 18, performing tunes from his latest album Weightless.

      Jake Shimabukuro: Hawaiian multigenre ukulele virtuoso plays the Rio Theatre on February 3, touring in support of latest album Travels.

      Parquet Courts: New York City-based indie-rock band plays the Rickshaw Theatre on February 20, touring in support of latest EP Monastic Living.

      The Garden: Southern California punk duo plays the Cobalt on December 13, touring in support of latest album Haha.

      Shigeto: American electronica musician plays the Imperial on January 22, touring in support of latest EP Intermission.

      Mystery Skulls: American indie-pop/electronica act plays the Biltmore Cabaret on December 4 touring in support of debut album Forever.

      And on the non-musical front, tickets also go on sale Friday for American comic and social critic Lewis Black at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver on February 28.
