The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, SFU Woodwards, and Théâtre la Seizième present The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi at SFU’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 West Hastings Street) from January 22 to 25.

The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi is an award-winning play by Larry Tremblay and was first performed in 1995 in Quebec. The play centres around Gaston Talbot, who leads the audience through childhood memories and a violent trauma that robs Talbot’s ability to speak. When Talbot regains his voice, he can only speak English filtered through his francophone consciousness.

This production of The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi is directed by Claude Poissant and the role of Gaston Talbot is played by five actors.

Tickets to The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi are $27 to $35 and can be purchased online or by calling the Tickets Tonight box office at 604-684-2787.
