Stanley Park seawall closed for repairs after partial collapse

Vancouver's seawall has been closed indefinitely between Third Beach and Lions Gate Bridge.

After damage caused by strong winds (reaching up to 59 kilometres per hour) and waves on the weekend, a 10- to 12-metre portion of the seawall collapsed.

Park Board staff is inspecting the damage but have not yet announced how long repairs will take.
