From November 17 to 29, Upintheair Theatre presents The North Plan at 211 E. Georgia.

Playwright Jason Wells's dark comedy explores what happens when a ruthless military faction seizes power in Washington, D.C., and upends democratic order.

Inspired by real-life U.S. government initiatives like the Readiness Exercise 1984 and Main Core, The North Plan was originally produced by Oregon's Portland Centre Stage.

Of the play, director Chelsea Haberlin says that the "black, dystopian, and darkly entertaining script is constantly throwing the audience curve balls."

Tickets for The North Plan are $20 and $14 and can be bought online in advance.
