      With Bruno Mars’ Super Bowl performance solidifying his iron grip on world musical domination, there’s no better time for a look back at the singers’ formative years.

      Born into a musical family in Honolulu, Hawaii, the man formerly known as Peter Hernandez broke into show business as a toddler, regularly performing with his parents’ band the Love Notes. Further inspired by an Elvis impersonator uncle, Mars began incorporating Elvis tunes into the act, soon becoming known across the Aloha States as ‘Little Elvis’. At that point, of course, it was only a matter of time until Hollywood came calling.
