The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914

On December 5, Chor Leoni Men's Choir presents All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (630 Hamilton).

In a remounting of last year's sold-out concert, the local men's choral ensemble tells the story of the Christmas Truce of 1914 through the words and songs of the men who lived it.

The truce saw ordinary soldiers defy orders, ignore uniforms, and share Christmas with each other across enemy lines.

Performances will be held at 3 pm and 8 pm.
