Russian president Vladimir Putin has long been a target of Femen, the militant feminist group whose members remove their tops to protest against patriarchy and organized religion, and for LGBT rights.

Three members doffed their shirts in front of the Russian embassy in Berlin to reveal the slogan "Gulag Games" on their backs.

One of them left a lit torch on the sidewalk and threw a bottle at it.

She has been arrested, allegedly for "throwing a Molotov cocktail at the Russian embassy".

The term "Molotov cocktail" was coined during Finland's resistance to Soviet invaders in 1939 and 1940.

At the time, the Finns, some on skis, lit a match to alcohol-filled bottles before tossing them at Soviet tanks.

The foreign minister of the Soviet Union at the time was Vyacheslav Molotov

He had earlier signed a deal with German foreign minister Joachim von Ribbentrop to carve up Europe between the Nazis and Joseph Stalin's Communists.

Meanwhile in the video below, the 23-year-old leader of Femen, Inna Shevchenko, explains why members of her group peel off their blouses oppose patriarchy.

She says Femen exists in a naked world of naked power.

"We take off our tops and transform our bodies from sex objects into a very dangerous weapon to all men's domination of the world," Shevchenko declares.

Well it wasn't much of a "moltov cocktail"-looked like just a bottle.
One young topless woman taken away for throwing it.
      Putin can rest easy now.
