Snowboarder Danny Davis describes Sochi halfpipe as "garbage"

One of the world's top snowboarders has trashed the halfpipe at the Winter Olympics, telling Yahoo Sports that it's "a lame showcase".

U.S. competitor Danny Davis also called the venue "garbage" and "a lame way to treat the athletes".

New Zealand–based Development Snowparks won the contract to build the halfpipe at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

Davis told Yahoo Sports that the flat bottom "is bumpy and full of sugary snow".

The situation hasn't been helped by Sochi's temperatures, which have risen above 10 °C.

An ATV accident kept Davis out of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

He came first in the 2014 Men's Snowboard Superpipe in Aspen, Colorado.

Danny Davis shows how you can do jumps anywhere there's snow.

The pipe will be the same for everyone but will deteriorate in warm weather. It should be too speck for safety. Danny can't possibly gain anything by complaining.

Are there any US Olympians who aren't whiny, sniveling ass clowns?
