Local horror freaks may want to scoop up their tix to the upcoming Fan Expo sooner than later, because the lineup of celebrity guests at the event—which runs from April 18 to 20 at the Vancouver Convention Centre—includes a number of fright-film faves.

First off, you’ve got Robert Englund, the man behind Freddy Krueger’s gnarly face in the Nightmare on Elm Street films. Yeah, we know those flicks have sucked for a long time, but back in the day they were a hoot.

Then you’ve got Bruce Campbell, who won the hearts of gore fans far and wide with his roles in the three Evil Dead films and the amazing Bubba Ho-Tep before becoming a hot-shot author.

In the smoldering hottie department, Eliza Dushku from TV’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the nasty horror flick Wrong Turn will show up, and Vancity will be represented by Jen & Sylvia Soska, aka the Twisted Twins, directors of the acclaimed horror flicks American Mary and Dead Hooker in a Trunk.

Non-horror guests at Fan Expo include Jon Heder, star of the cult film Napoleon Dynamite, and Giancarlo Esposito, who blew folks away with his role as restaurateur and meth magnate Gus Fring in TV’s best show, Breaking Bad.

Actually, considering how Esposito looked at the end of Season Four, I guess he’s not non-horror after all.
