The Bottle Rockets love dogs—and people who love dogs

A couple of months ago I did a blog about how the Bottle Rockets were one of the world's most underrated bands and how their new album, South Broadway Athletic Club, was freakin' awesome.

And a couple days ago the band released a video for the song "Dog", which is about as deep as the title suggests. It's just about a guy who loves his dog, and doesn't care if you don't love it too, because it's his dog.

Apart from members of the Bottle Rockets, the folks shown loving their dogs in the clip include Carlene Carter, Neko Case, Chuck Ragan, Kelly Hogan, Ha Ha Tonka, Murder By Death, Jesse Sykes, the Mastersons, Cory Branan, Scott H. Biram, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, the Yawpers, Scott McCaughey, Limbeck, Will Kimbrough, Amy Gore, Freakwater, Few Spirits, and workers at Lagunitas Brewing Company.

Kinda makes you want to go out and get a dog, eh?
