Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo couldn't have been better in his shutout performance against Austria, but that wasn't enough to convince Team Canada coach Mike Babcock to put him between the pipes for this morning's game against Finland.

Instead, Team Canada will start Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price, who let in one goal in his team's 3-1 victory over Norway.

Last summer, it looked like Luongo would be Team Canada's starting goaltender, but the Canucks' poor performance in January and early February may have played a role in changing the coaching staff's mind.

In a showdown between Price and Luongo in Montreal on February 6, the Habs' netminder was the clear winner, blocking 42 of 44 shots.

Luongo, on the other hand, only stopped 24 of the 28 pucks fired at him as his team went down to a 5-2 defeat.

Price was raised in Anaheim Lake, B.C., and his junior debute came with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League. He's been with the Canadiens since the 2007–08 season.
