Meet CBC personalities at CBC Vancouver's Food Bank Day

      CBC Vancouver is opening its doors for its 29th annual Open House and Food Bank Day on Friday (December 4).

      Visitors can take newsroom tours (from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), participate in live broadcasts, and meet local and national CBC personalities as part of the CBC's effort to raise funds for Food Banks of B.C.

      CBC Vancouver personalities who guests can visit on site (at 700 Hamilton Street) will include:

      • CBC News' Andrew Chang

      The Early Edition's Rick Cluff

      B.C. Almanac's Gloria Macarenko

      North by Northwest's Sheryl MacKay

      On the Coast's Stephen Quinn

      They'll be joined by CBC Marketplace's Erica Johnson, CBC News Now's Ian Hanomansing, and Kids' CBC mascots Daniel Tiger, Napkin Man, and Super WHY!.

      There'll also be performances by Chor Leoni, Company B, Van Django, Rich Hope, Craig Northey, beer columnist Rebecca Wyman, wine expert Barb Philip, and movie reviewer Katherine Monk.

      Food Bank volunteers will be accepting cash donations.

      Online donations are also being accepted.
