Another figure-skating scandal? Yuna Kim takes silver after a brilliant performance in Sochi

    1 of 2 2 of 2

Yuna Kim (above) did not capture the gold medal in the women's figure skating competition at the Sochi Olympics.

Instead, Russia's Adelina Sotnikova (below) upset the defending Olympic champion from South Korea.

Adelina Sotnikova won gold, despite Kim's impressive skate.

Some are tweeting that there must have been some sort of fix.

This should be investigated, she was robbed of a gold. The Russian skater did not deserve to get the 2nd highest score in Olympic history. PERIOD. As a matter of fact, unbelievably one of the judges IS the wife of the president of Russian Figure Skating. Hmmm.... I wonder why the Russian won gold...

It is funny that Sotnikova made mistake and still 5 points more than Yuna. There is certainly a fix in there.

It is very sad that we still have a huge problem with judges in Figure Skating. Russian skater is nowhere near the quality of skating of Yuna Kim. In my opinion, Yuna Kim is the champion!!

Russia should be implicated hosting anymore olympics. This is outrageous, there was a obvious mistake in Sotnikova's skating but of course the Russian judges still gave her points. But we all know that Queen Yuna didn't get dethroned. She will never be dethroned by anyone and plus, the next winter olympic is in Korea. No doubt Korea will be harsh on the Russians and I can't wait to see their faces when they win the least medals.

Very fishy. For the first time, i would LOVE for the Olympics committee to act on this. Doubt they will though. What a shameful day in the Olympics. I don't want to take away anything from the Russian's either but c'mon now. WE ALL SAW THE COMPETITION. Really? REALLY? Unbelieveable.

Totally fixed. So wrong. Yuna was way better and deserved gold.

Apparently.. The russian's score is a whole 20 points higher than her best ever free skate score.. 20 points higher ??? Is this plausible? I knew her score was waaay too big the moment I saw it

Russia wake up., is there no other way you crave so much victory by doing such shameful act of dishonesty? You cannot fool the world to what you did to Yuna Kim. That's why you've bee hated by the world. Anyway you are known by it ever since before the cold war.
